PANCH RATHA (MAHABALIPURAM).............

PANCH RATHA AT MAHABALIPURAM - A CONNECTION TO MAHABHARATHA?

Cut out from a stone monument (single stone), the Panch Rathas at Mahabalipuram are some of best instances of stone cut sanctuaries. Worked in the seventh century AD during the rule of Pallava ruler Narsimhavarman I, they are today an UNESCO world legacy Site as a major aspect of Mahabalipuram accumulation of sanctuaries.

What's the association with Mahabharata?

Well entirely is no known association between the two, and these aren't in reality even Rathas. In any case, by one way or another they are related, with no recorded premise, to the Pandavas. They are called Rathas on the grounds that their structure takes after chariot shapes.

The five Rathas

The first ratha is called Draupadi ratha, the spouse of every one of the five Pandavas. It's one of the most unobtrusive and fragile looking sanctuary with a special rooftop. It's an inheritance of the covered rooftops which were regular at that point, taken as a motivation here.

The following ratha is Arjun ratha, and is an accurate imitation of the last and the biggest sanctuary of the five. It imparts the stage to Draupadi ratha. A tremendous yet deficient Nandi is directly behind the sanctuary.

The following one is Bhima ratha and is the longest of all. The rooftop is like Draupadi ratha, however it's any longer.

The last ratha is the Nakul-Sahdev ratha, and isn't in a similar line as others.

While I was investigating the site, I found two or three companions contemplating craftsmanship in Bangalore. One of them was a painter and the other one was an artist. Envision meeting an artist at one of man's most delightful manifestations out of stone! Here's a brisk selfie we overseen before we went separate ways.
